The Mountain Way Warrior The
Warrior Phase of training in Mountain Way is based on the world-renowned styles of Traditional Chinese Martial arts;
Shaolin Juan,
Xingyi Juan,
Taiji Juan (Tai Chi),
Bagua Zhang, Shuaijiao/ChinNa, Weapons, & Special Skills. The Northern Shaolin System is where we build our physical and mental/emotional base. The training is designed to develop the strength, endurance, balance, coordination, focus, self-discipline, and an unwavering determination to succeed. One of the most important developmental tools at this level is horse stance training. It no doubt is one of the most challenging aspects of ones development but it develops so much of ones mental/emotional and physical attributes that it is priceless.
The training from there will be based on the Internal Styles of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts. These Systems teach one to overcome great obstacles and develop the inner strengths that can lead to what seems like superhuman perception and power. An example is the Unbendable Arm technique. This training teaches you to extend mind power through your body in such a powerful way that one who is much stronger than you will not be able to overcome your will. We have taught this to children and a full grown adult is not able to bend their arm. You just have to see it for yourself. The Internal Styles teach you to become a master strategist so that you always work on tasks with insight and efficiency allowing you to conserve your energy for more personally enriching interests. The most important aspect of the Internal Styles way of development is how it induces one to reflect inwardly so there is not discontinuity among the mind, body, and spirit. With that kind of synergy in training you will feel your mental and physical power grow until you become almost unstoppable.
